Making a second album is easy. You keep what worked in the debut and fix things that didn't. Boom, superior record! In the case of Nakpat, this meant doubling down on the through-composed oddballs, as both parties found them the most fulfilling to make. You stoked for a 40 minute groovy, dissonant ride without a proper chorus in sight? Good!

So what's on offer here? More vocal mannerisms than you can shake a stick at. A nineties independent album tier production job. Four part guitar harmonies over blast beats. Rhythmic frivolity in moderation. An undercurrent of excitement and positivity, the electric "what if" of things coming together and working out. What can Nakpat say here, really - Nakpat's quite excited about this one, as it's like season two of a groove-hitting TV show, with the pieces starting to fall into place and Nakpat getting to live up to the promise of the better moments of the last outing. Nakpat thinks this is quality stuff. To the point where the album is called Quality Stuff.

Actually, if the whole "keep what worked and fix what didn't" model was true, then all artists' trajectories would be a permanent quality ascent through their discographies. Which is not the case. Hrm. Nakpat will be right back.
